Do you face any issue with accessing or going through our courses? Find below the answers to commonly asked questions.
Please note that after six months of inactivity on the course, you will be automatically unenrolled. Your progress, grades and certificates will be conserved, and you can enroll again at any time.
Yes, all the learning materials on the UN CC: e-Learn platform as well as its certificates are free of charge.
To start taking one of our courses, you need register to the platform and then enroll to the course(s) you are interested in.
To register:
- Go to the sign-up page and select a method to create your account.
- Complete the registration form.
- Check the inbox of the email address you provided for registration and confirm your account, by clicking the link on the email sent by us.
To enroll:
- Login with your username and password to the platform.
- View all the courses available by clicking on “Course Catalogue”
- Click on the course you want to enroll.
- On the course page, with its description and syllabus, click on “Enrol me”.
* If you registered for the UN CC:e-Learn platform with your Google account, click on the button “Log in with Google” at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions.
Upon completing your registration form, you will receive an activation email at the email address you entered previously provided. Click the link in the email to activate your account.
*If the activation email is not in your inbox, please check your junk email folder.
To reset your password:
- Go to the password recovery page, which you can always access by visiting the Log In page and clicking on “Forgotten your username or password?”.
- On the new page, submit your username or your email address, as indicated.
- Check the inbox of the email address you provided for registration and click on the link inside the password reset email within the following 30 minutes. If you did not finish in 30 minutes, please try again.
- In the password reset page, insert your new password as indicated and then click on “Save Changes”.
* If the password reset email is not in your inbox, please check your junk email folder.
** If you created your UN CC:e-Learn account with Google account, you are not able to reset your password from here. Please do so from your Google account. To log in with your Google account, visit the login page, then click the red “Log in with Google” button at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions.
To begin a course, you must first register to the platform and enroll to a course. Upon registration and enrollment, you should click on the course you have enrolled to and all modules or sections will be available, including their interactive and offline (PDF or PowerPoint) versions, as well as evaluations, if applicable.
You can look at the syllabus to know in detail what the course objectives are and to understand how to follow the topics throughout the course.
In the course page, you will see a link for the quiz in each module if available. You need to click on this link for the quiz to start.
The quiz can be attempted a maximum of three times and should be passed with at least 70% of correct answers in order to receive a certificate of completion. Review the content carefully before trying the quiz.
Once you have completed and passed all required evaluations of the course, in the “Certificate” section, you will automatically have the “Download your certificate” button enabled.
The “Certificate” section will be available only for certified courses. The UN CC: e-Learn platform also provides tutorials, which do not have a learning outcome and therefore, do not provide certificates.
Before issuing your certificate, make sure your full name is correct. In case you need to make any changes, follow these steps:
- Log In to the platform.
- Click on the arrow next to your username at the top right of the page.
- On the drop-down menu, click on “Profile”.
- On the profile page, click on “Edit profile”.
- Update the “First name” and “Surname” fields as you wish them to appear on your certificate.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and then click on “Update profile”.
Please verify that your web browser and flash player are up to date.
If you continue having technical issues, please verify the following requirements:
Browser:
- The course works best with Firefox 3.6 or higher (download for free).
- The course is also compatible with Google Chrome (download for free).
- For technical reasons, it is not recommended to use Internet Explorer.
- Note JavaScript & Cookies must be enabled.
Software:
- Adobe Acrobat Reader (download for free).
- Adobe Flash Player (download for free).
- Microsoft Office (Windows or Apple version) or Libre Office (download for free).
If you wish to change your language of preference to Spanish, French or Chinese, please:
- Log In to the platform.
- Click on the arrow next to your username at the top right of the page.
- On the drop-down menu, click on “Preferences”.
- On the preferences page, click on “Preferred language”.
- Select your new language of preference from the drop-down menu and then click on “Save Changes”.
